CARY, N.C. – The Duke men’s and women’s cross country teams swept the Pack Invitational on Saturday, Nov. 6. Blue Devil sophomore Domenick DeMatteo ran the men’s 5K race in under 15 minutes to become the only Duke runner to break the mark at Wake Med Soccer Park.

The Duke men swept the race by a score of 15-50. The Blue Devils placed five runners in the top-10 and all runners in the top-20. Duke was led by DeMatteo with a time of 14:53 and a first-place finish to become the only Blue Devil to finish the course in under 15 minutes. Duke improved to 38-4 and 11-4 in the ACC.

The Duke women picked up the weekend sweep for the Blue Devils in both races winning with a score of 30 and beating conference rival N.C. State. The Blue Devil women placed seven runners in the top-10. Duke was led by Kristina Krasich who crossed the line in second with a time of 17:50. The women’s record moves to 58-5 and 15-2 in the ACC.
