GoDuke.com: What has been your proudest moment at Duke?
Dominick Robinson: Our team making it to nationals my freshman year. It was the first time we made it there in a while.
GoDuke.com: What's your favorite spot on campus?
DR: Probably the Link - best place to study.
GoDuke.com: Talk about the first time you started running competitively or decided on cross country as a sport.
DR: It's when I was in middle school because I hated football and I was too chubby. I was overweight but I wasn't athletic and I saw my dad running every day. So I figured I should do that and I started off really bad because I was overweight. Then I probably grew half a foot and got skinny and got good at running and I figured that would be a great way to impress girls. And little did I know running is not the way to do it.
GoDuke.com: As a kid did you know what you wanted to be when you grew up and do you know what you want to be now?
DR: I wanted to be a dentist growing up. Why? I have no idea. Then when I sort of learned things I wanted to be an engineer.
GoDuke.com: If you could choose anyone, who would you pick as your mentor?
DR: Justin Timberlake because he wins at life.
GoDuke.com: What's one chore that you absolutely hate doing?
DR: It would probably be dishes. No one does them and I use paper plates and plastic utensils so I don't have to do dishes. But I still do dishes because no one else does.
GoDuke.com: If you won the lottery, what is the first thing you would do?
DR: Start my own shoe line.
GoDuke.com: If you could be a superhero, what would you want your superpower to be?
DR: Read minds.
GoDuke.com : Favorite midnight snack?
AB: Flaming-Hot Cheetos. It's my favorite snack ever.
GoDuke.com: What sport other than your own would you play?
DR: I'd probably like to be good at basketball or cycling.
GoDuke.com: What's one possession you can't live without?
DR: My running shoes.
GoDuke.com: What's your favorite restaurant in Durham?
DR: Q-shack.
