2012-13: Duke’s most clutch performer throughout the cross country season, scoring at six meets, including at the ACC Championships, NCAA Southeast Region Championships and the NCAA Championships … passed a runner at the finish at the NCAA Southeast Regional to help the Blue Devils edge George Mason by one point to come in fifth … placed 32nd overall in that performance while clocking a personal-best 31:00.44 for 10K … ran a personal-best 8K mark of 24:04.4 to take 52nd at the NCAA Pre-Nationals, propelling Duke to a fifth-place showing … earned a spot on the All-ACC Academic Cross Country team ... one of four Duke student-athletes to receive Olympic Sports Performance Student-Athlete of the Year recognition...qualified for his first ACC Indoor Championship final in the men’s mile, running a personal best 4:09.88 in the prelim round and 4:10.58 in the finals to finish seventh overall…also competed in the 3,000 meters throughout the season…Outdoors, competed in the 3K steeplechase and 1,500…ran a personal best 9:01.00 to finish second at the Duke invitational and rank fifth on Duke’s all-time list…ran a personal best in the 1,500 by clocking 3:51.27 in his 17th place finish at the ACC Outdoor Championships.
2011-12: Began the fall with a 12th-place showing at the James Madison Invitational...clocked 25:51 for 8K to finish 114th at the Roy Griak Invitational...ran an 8K personal best of 24:43.1 to come in 51st at the ACC Championships...placed 60th at the 2011 NCAA Southeast Regional, recording a time of 31:39.8 on the 10K course...indoors, concentrated on the 3,000m and 5,000m...ran a personal-best time of 8:20.10 in the 3,000m at the New Balance Collegiate...competed in the 5,000m at the ACC Indoor Championships, turning in a personal-best time of 14:58.17...outdoors, competed in the 3,000m steeplechase, earning a personal-best time of 9:04.88 to take second at the Duke Invitational...finished seventh at the ACC Outdoor Championships in a time of 9:17.01...named to the ACC Academic Honor Roll.
2010-11: During the fall, recorded a first-place finish at the Great American Cross Country Festival, leading the field with a personal-best 24:43.4 over 8K...helped the Blue Devils win their third consecutive IC4A title, logging 25:28.4 over 8K to finish 17th, good for All-East honors...indoors, competed in the mile, 3,00m and the DMR...ran a season-best 8:32.02 in the 3,000m at the Armory Collegiate...took 27th in the same event at the ACC Championships, clocking 8:33.59...ran the 1,500m on one occasion during the outdoor season...posted a time of 4:03.82 at the Duke Twilight to place 21st.
2009-10: Made his cross country debut on Sept. 26 at the Roy Griak Invitational, clocking 25:43.1 for 8K...ran a personal-best 24:46.06 over 8K at the ACC Championships, good for 36th place...helped Duke win back-to-back IC4A Championships, finishing 15th in 25:53.9...earned All-East honors for his performance...did not compete during the indoor or outdoor seasons.
Prior to Duke: Golden West Invitational mile champion as a senior with a time of 4:14.60...bronze medalist at the GWI as a junior at 3,200m with a time of 9:07...rarely ran at sea level during high school career...unbeatable in Wyoming, winning the state cross country title as both and junior and a senior and winning multiple state titles in indoor and outdoor track, including a 3,200m, 4x800m, 800m and 1,600m quadruple at the state meet senior year...the last of those four titles was a 4:15 effort at 5,300m feet, approximately a 4:09 clocking at sea level for 1,600m...holds the all-time Wyoming schoolboy records for both the 1,600m and 3,200m.
Personal: Majoring in mechanical engineering.
