DURHAM, N.C. - The Atlantic Coast Conference has announced the pairings for the 2012 league tournament with the Duke women's lacrosse team securing the No. 2 seed. The Blue Devils will serve as hosts for the conference tournament, which will be held April 20, 21 and 23 at Koskinen Stadium.

As the No. 2 seed, Duke (10-5, 3-2 ACC) earns a first-round bye for the second consecutive season and will take on the winner of third-seeded Maryland and sixth-seeded Virginia Tech in the ACC semifinals Saturday, April 21 at 3 p.m.

North Carolina earned the top spot after finishing the ACC regular season with an unblemished 5-0 record. After a first-round bye, the Tar Heels will face the winner of No. 4 seed Virginia and No. 5 seed Boston College at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 21.

The 2012 ACC Women's Lacrosse Championship will be held in Durham for the first time since 2002 and just the second time in conference history. RSN is set to broadcast both the quarterfinal and semifinal rounds, while ESPNU will broadcast the championship game.

The Blue Devils are in search of their second ACC Tournament title and first since 2005. Duke holds a 9-14 record all-time in conference championship play.

Last season, Maryland captured its third consecutive ACC Championship, defeating North Carolina, 12-7, at WakeMed Soccer Park in Cary, N.C.
