OSHAWA, ONTARIO – Former Duke women’s lacrosse standouts Sarah Bullard and Megan Huether helped lead the U.S. women’s national team to the title game at the 2013 Federation of International Lacrosse (FIL) World Cup with a 21-8 victory over England in Friday’s first semifinal contest.

Bullard netted a pair of free position goals during the first half of action, propelling the U.S. to an 11-5 halftime advantage. She also tallied two draw controls in the win, while Huether entered the contest in the second half, making one save and allowing just three goals during the period.

Team USA will be seeking its seventh World Championship when it faces Canada Saturday, July 20 at 3 p.m. EST in the gold medal game at the Civic Recreation Complex in Oshawa. Australia and England will face off in the bronze medal game beginning at 12:30 p.m. EST.
