Prior to Duke: Fraile transferred to Duke this season from Bucknell, where she appeared in seven games for the Bison in 2012, starting three. She totaled 261:05 minutes in the cage during the 2012 season, posting a record of 1-2, tallying 24 saves and compiling a 14.25 goals against average. The Lancaster, Pa., native appeared in the net for the Blue Devils in this year’s season opener, posting one save in a 25-4 victory over Elon.

What is your favorite lacrosse memory?
KF: League Championships 2007.

When did you start playing lacrosse?
KF: My older brother played attack, so I started being his goalie when I was about five.

Why did you choose Duke?
KF: I’ve been loving Duke since I wore the “I’m a little Blue Devil” romper.

Who has had the biggest impact on your life?
KF: My family. They’ve always supported me in everything I’ve done. I’ve always been very competitive with my older brothers, who set the bar high.

Quick Hitters:
Favorite athlete: JJ Redick
Hobbies: Volunteering and connecting other people to service
Favorite movie: Love Actually
Favorite TV show: NCIS
Favorite book: All the Harry Potter books
Favorite musician: Bob Dylan
Pre-game ritual/superstition: I say a prayer before every game and when I’m in cage I’ll jump three times before the game starts or any penalty shot.
What is your major? Mathematics
If you were to play another sport, what would it be? Basketball. I have serious envy for anyone that can jump that high.
Interesting fact about yourself: I spent three weeks in Vietnam this summer through Coach for
College.
Best advice you’ve received: “Pressure is just a perception.” – Coach Rich Lefever
Where do you see yourself in 10 years? I would just have finished residency and hopefully be a doctor.

To be a part of the Duke women’s lacrosse program is … to be a part of an amazing family.
