Duke sophomore Emma Lazaroff will blog throughout the 2014 season, providing fans with an inside look at life on the Blue Devil women's lacrosse team. Look for Emma's blog all year on GoDuke.com.
Well, everyone is now home for the summer. After hours of cleaning, trips to storage units and perfectly packing our cars to the brim, we all headed our separate ways to finally spend some much needed time off.
For my last blog of the year I just wanted to thank all the Duke women lacrosse staff that made this season possible.
From our coaches who put in hours on hours to prepare practice plans and game plans, watch film, scout upcoming opponents and deal with all 33 of us girls; to the staff members who work behind the spotlight just so players and coaches can focus 100 percent on our jobs: travel coordinators, food arrangers, bus drivers, trainers, equipment managers, media personnel and photographers ... seriously, the list could go on forever. We are all so grateful for the abundance of support, and without their hard work and effort our team would not be able to compete at such a high level.
And, on a personal note, thank you for reading these entries. It really has been a privilege to report out to all of you about all of us. I hope you’ve enjoyed reading these as much as I have enjoyed writing them.
This was an amazing year that I know no one will ever forget and thank you to everyone that made it possible, especially my 32 other teammates who have now become my sisters.
