LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. - The talent of the Duke women's lacrosse program's incoming class was on display Sunday at the 2012 Champion Girls' All-American Showcase, hosted by US Lacrosse at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex.

Future Blue Devils Maddy Acton and Kelci Smesko combined for five goals to lead Team Freedom to a 14-5 victory over Team Spirit. Smesko, who hails from Ridgewood, N.J., poured in three goals while Sudbury, Mass., native Acton added two in the win.

"I got the first goal of the game because Kelci set a pick for me," Acton said. "Now that we're really good friends and heading to Duke together, it's fun to play with her."

In the other game of the Showcase, Duke-bound Emma Lazaroff, a midfielder from Lafayette, Colo., tallied three goals and an assist to guide Team Liberty past Team Pride, 9-7.

The Champion All-American Showcase is played as a part of the ESPNHS Games and features the nation's elite high school players. Players are nominated and selected by high school coaches throughout the country to compete in a four-team format over three days at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex in Lake Buena Vista, Fla.

The 2012 Champion Girls' All-American Showcase continues through Tuesday at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex.
