FORT WAYNE, Ind.-Duke University senior goalkeeper James Belshaw saved a penalty kick and the Blue Devils turned in a solid defensive effort to battle Ohio State to a 0-0 draw at the National Soccer Festival in Fort Wayne, Ind., Friday tonight.

The Blue Devils started the game with one senior, three juniors, five sophomores and two freshmen on the field. The backline of Sebastien Ibeagha, Zach Mathers, Chase Keesling and Rob Dolot helped anchor Duke to the clean sheet.

"It was a good game for us," head coach John Kerr said. "It's always nice to get a clean sheet. Ohio State is a very good team with a lot of speed and I thought overall it was a good effort by our guys."

Starting in the midfield for the Blue Devils were Sean Davis, Nick Palodichuk, Jonathan Aguirre and Riley Wolfe, while Matt Slotnick and Luis Rendon ran up top. Jack Coleman came off the bench and did well for the defense, while Will Donovan turned in an outstanding effort at striker.

Duke closes out preseason against Big Ten foe Michigan State, Aug. 19 at 2 p.m., ET. The Blue Devils officially kick off the 2012 campaign at Notre Dame, Aug. 25 at 7:30 p.m.
