DURHAM, N.C.-The Duke University men's soccer team continues its season on Sunday, Nov. 21 with a NCAA Tournament second round contest at No. 7 seed South Carolina. The Blue Devils will take on the Gamecocks at Stone Stadium at 2 p.m. Fans can watch the game live free of charge by visiting www.GoDuke.com.

Ticket Information

Tickets are available for $8 for adults and $5 for youth (17-and-under) ... Gates will open one hour prior to kickoff at 1 p.m.

Setting the Scene

Duke advanced to the NCAA second round with a 2-1 come-from-behind win over Coastal Carolina ... Senior Cole Grossman had both goals for the Blue Devils ... South Carolina earned a first-round bye and are seeded seventh overall in the tournament bracket ... The Gamecocks are 12-6-2 overall on the year and won the Conference USA title.

The Series History

These two squads will meet for the 21st time overall and for the sixth time in the NCAA Tournament ... The last time Duke and South Carolina squared off was in 2007 as the Blue Devils earned a 2-1 victory in Durham ... The teams met in the first round of the NCAA Tournament with Duke emerging with a 1-0 win in Columbia ... Duke is 3-2 in NCAA Tournament games against the Gamecocks ... Overall the Blue Devils are 6-2-1 all-time when playing at South Carolina.

Duke is playing in its 24th NCAA Tournament ... The Blue Devils are 29-22-1 all-time ... The Blue Devils are 7-6-0 in second-round games ... Under head coach John Kerr Duke is 3-2-0 in NCAA postseason action.

Duke Places Six on All-ACC Squads

Sophomores Ryan Finley and Andrew Wenger headlined the All-ACC selections as the league's Offensive and Defensive Players of the Year, respectively ... Cole Grossman joined Finley and Wenger on the All-ACC First Team, while James Belshaw was named to the All-ACC Second Team ... Freshmen Sebastien Ibeagha and Jonathan Aguirre both were named to the All-Freshmen squad ... It is the first time in Duke history that the Blue Devils swept the top offensive and defensive player awards since the categories were started in 2004 ... The Blue Devils are the second program overall to do so ... Duke's three selections on the first team are the most since 1999 when Ali Curtis, Jeff Haywood and Robbie Russell were chosen by the coaches.

Duke in the National Rankings

The Blue Devils remain in the top 25 in two national polls after the conclusion of conference tournaments ... Duke is 24th in the NSCAA poll and 25th in this week's College Soccer News list.

Scouting the Blue Devils

Duke enters second round play with a 10-5-4 overall record after beating Coastal Carolina 2-1 in the first round ... Ryan Finley paces the attack with a program record tying 17 goals and 37 points overall ... Senior Cole Grossman  owns 10 goals, including both against the Chanticleers, and eight assists, while junior Christopher Tweed-Kent has two goals to go along with his team-high 11 assists ... Defensively, the Blue Devils have allowed 17 goals for a 0.85 goals against average ... In goal, sophomore James Belshaw sports a 0.78 goals against average, a .815 save percentage and four shutouts ... Duke is 2-3-2 overall on the road this season.

Scouting South Carolina

South Carolina earned the No. 7 seed after posting a 12-6-2 overall record and winning the Conference USA title ... This is the Gamecocks' 19th appearance in the NCAA Tournament ... Blake Brettschneider leads the offense with 23 points from seven goals and nine assists ... Will Traynor owns six goals and an assist for 13 points, while Bradlee Baladez has five goals on the season ... Defensively, the Gamecocks are anchored by Jimmy Maurer in goal with a 1.08 goals against average and a .763 save percentage ... South Carolina has allowed 22 goals and posted nine shutouts for the year ... The team is 5-1-2 at home this season.

Playing With A Lead

Duke sports a 7-0-2 record overall this season when it scores first ... The Blue Devils earned ties with Virginia and Elon after registering the first tally of the game ... Duke is 6-0-1 when leading at the half.

Coming from Behind

Duke captured its first come-from-behind victory when it defeated Wake Forest 2-1 to finish the regular season ... Overall the Blue Devils are 2-5-0 when their opponent scores first ... Duke remains 1-3-0 when trailing at halftime ... Duke's 2-1 win over Coastal Carolina marked the team's first second-half comeback win of the season.

Wenger Joins Elite Company

Andrew Wenger joined elite company when he became the first player since Jay Heaps to earn All-ACC First Team recognition in each of his first two seasons ... Wenger was the ACC Freshman of the Year in 2009 and garnered ACC Defensive Player of the Year recognition in 2010 ... He is the first Blue Devil to win the top defensive player honor.

Belshaw is Sixth Goaltender to Earn All-ACC

Named All-ACC Second Team, James Belshaw is the sixth Duke goalie to earn all-conference recognition and the first since Justin Trowbridge in 2004.

Cole Grossman Comes Through

Senior Cole Grossman netted his second game-winner of the year, and perhaps the most important of his career, as he propelled Duke past Coastal Carolina in the first round ... Grossman has a career-high 10 goals on the year and a career-best 28 points.

Finishing Finley

Sophomore Ryan Finley added three more goals to his total at Virginia Tech to put him at 17 for the year ... He currently leads the nation in both goals and points (37) ... He owns at least one point in 10 of the Blue Devils' 17 contests and has five multiple goal games ... He has either scored or assisted on 19 of Duke's 32 goals this season and has three hat tricks on the year.

Dynamic Duo of Grossman and Finley

The tandem of senior Cole Grossman and sophomore Ryan Finley has packed a powerful punch for the Blue Devils this season ... Twenty-nine of Duke's 34 goals have either been scored or assisted by either Finley or Grossman ... The pair has connected eight different times for goals this season.

James Belshaw Standing out in Goal

Sophomore James Belshaw has been outstanding in goal for the Blue Devils ... He owns a career-best 66 saves on the year to rank third in the ACC ... His 15 saves against Louisville is tops in a single game this year by an ACC goaltender ... He has made more saves this season than he did as a rookie in 19 games.

Finley Climbing Charts

With 17 goals through 16 games, Ryan Finley tied both Ali Curtis and Pato Gutierrez for the Duke single-season goals chart ... The 17 goals are the most since Curtis netted that many in 1999 ... Finley's 37 points are tied for ninth on the Duke single-season points list.

Wenger Named to Top Drawer Soccer Team of the Week

Sophomore defender Andrew Wenger was named to the Top Drawer Soccer Team of the Week for the week ending Sept. 26 after helping the Blue Devils post consecutive shutouts in a 2-0 week ... In a midweek contest at UNC Wilmington, Wenger and the Duke backline helped keep the Seahawks off the board for the first time this season ... Three days later against 10th-ranked Boston College, Wenger again helped guide Duke to a 1-0 win over a previously unbeaten Eagles squad.

Duke Sweeps First Two ACC Weekly Awards

Duke dominated the ACC Player of the Week awards in the first two weeks as sophomores James Belshaw and Ryan Finley garnered the honor in consecutive weeks ... Belshaw captured the first award after winning MVP honors in the Duke/Nike Classic ... Finley was named the ACC Player of the Week the next week after he tallied the game-tying goal in a 2-2 draw with No. 2 Virginia.
