DURHAM, N.C.-The whirlwind month continues for Duke University's Andrew Wenger this Thursday at the 2012 Major League Soccer SuperDraft presented by adidas. The exciting time started when Wenger signed a Generation adidas contract Dec. 21 and has since experienced numerous thrills.

Fans who would like to watch the SuperDraft can watch it live on ESPN2 or ESPN3 Thursday, Jan. 11 at 12 p.m. To track through twitter, follow @MLS and use hashtag #SuperDraft.

Wenger, the 2011 ACC Offensive Player of the Year, is considered by many to be a top three pick in draft and will be the 18th Blue Devil to be drafted immediately out of college. Four former Duke players were drafted in the 1996 MLS inaugural draft. Wenger is the first Blue Devil to sign a Generation adidas contract.

The thrilling ride for Wenger started in early December when he and sophomore Sebastien Ibeagha were called in to train with the United States Under-23 National Team. He followed that 13 days later when he signed the Generation adidas contract as he decided to pursue a professional soccer career.

After completing his training trip with the U.S. U-23 squad, Wenger garnered the ultimate prize in collegiate soccer. He was awarded the 2011 Hermann Trophy as the top men's player in Division I soccer. The next day, the Lititz, Pa., native made the trip to California for a two-part training camp with the U-23 squad as it begins to qualify for the Olympics.

He completes his month-long ride Thursday while he awaits his name to be called in Kansas City, Mo.
