DURHAM, N.C.—The Duke University men’s soccer team recently lent its soccer expertise to over 70 young players of the Triangle United Soccer Club ranging in ages from 7-11. The Blue Devils held a clinic for the young players and answered questions they had about playing college soccer.

The Blue Devils spent a few hours with the youngsters, working on their technical soccer skills and playing games. The youngsters received pointers on shooting, dribbling and got to play in games with the Duke players.

“This is a great opportunity for our players to pass on their knowledge of the game to young players,” said head coach John Kerr. “Those kids look up to our guys and were so excited to spend a few hours with them. Everyone enjoyed their time and I hope that we can do more clinics like this in the future.”

The Triangle United Soccer Association is located in Chapel Hill, N.C. and features programs for all ages and skill levels.

Duke closes out its spring season April 20 against NC State at 12 p.m.
