In his seven games in an attacking role, the sophomore netted two goals and two assists ...  An All-ACC Freshman Team selection as a center back in 2012, Mathers has started all 13 games this season ... His six points are just two points shy of matching his points total from a year ago.
 
McDaniel Shining As A Senior
Duke senior Tyler McDaniel is having a strong senior season ... The third of three brothers to play Duke soccer has started the past six games and eight overall this season at both defense and midfield ... He played a career-high 95 minutes against Virginia Tech.
 
Young Blue Devils Contributing
Twenty-four of Duke’s 43 points this season have come from freshmen and sophomores ... Freshman Brody Huitema has a team-high 11 points, while sophomore Zach Mathers has six ... Rookie Seo-In Kim has four assists, Luis Rendon has two and Jimmy Doll rounds out the underclassmen group with one.
