DURHAM, N.C.-The Duke University wrestling team returns to the mat Sunday with a short drive over to Chapel Hill for the Carolina Duals at Carmichael Arena. The Blue Devils will take on The Citadel and Campbell at 12 and 2 p.m., respectively.

Carolina Duals Details

North Carolina will host Duke, Campbell and The Citadel in the annual Carolina Duals in Carmichael Arena. Two matches will go on at the same time as Duke and The Citadel and North Carolina and Campbell square off at 12 p.m. The Blue Devils and Camels and Tar Heels and Bulldogs close out the action at 2 p.m. Admission is free.

Series Histories

The Citadel and Campbell are familiar foes for Duke as the Blue Devils have faced them a combined 84 times, including five times in the past three seasons. The Blue Devils have a commanding 38-4 mark over the Camels since the first bout in 1971. Duke will look to avenge a heart-breaking 19-17 loss at Campbell last season, the Camels' first over the Blue Devils since 2002. Duke's last win over The Citadel was a 19-15 victory in Raleigh, N.C.

Duke opened the match at The Citadel by winning at 165 and 184 pounds before the Bulldogs took wins in six of the final seven matches of the evening for a 28-14 victory. Ryan Harding (165), Diego Bencomo (184) and Tanner Hough (141) each collected wins for the Blue Devils. Duke's matchup with Campbell was a close affair as the Camels built up a 16-7 lead before the Blue Devils mounted a comeback. After dropping points in four of the first five matches, Duke came right back and won three straight to make it a two-point match, 16-14, with two bouts remaining. Campbell's Nick Rex gave his squad the final win it needed with a decision at 157 for a 19-14 advantage.

Kerr-Brown Win Streak Extended

Duke redshirt sophomore Immanuel Kerr-Brown extended his win streak to five matches this past week with a thrilling overtime victory over his North Carolina rival. Kerr-Brown is 6-4 in duals and 8-6 since starting to compete in a Duke singlet this season. Included in his five-match win streak is a pair of ACC victories over Maryland and North Carolina.
