DURHAM, N.C.—With just a few regular season duals left, the Duke University wrestling team hits the road for a match with non-conference foe The Citadel Sunday, Feb. 16. The dual is slated to start at 4 p.m., at McAlister Field House.

Duke (6-12) and The Citadel (7-3) are meeting for the 44th time in the programs’ histories. The Blue Devils hold the 28-12-3 edge in the series, including eight straight victories. Duke edged the Bulldogs in a 19-17 thriller at the UNC Duals and last lost to The Citadel in 2001.
Redshirt junior Immanuel Kerr-Brown and redshirt sophomore Conner Hartmann headline the Duke squad. Kerr-Brown sports a team-best 21-8 overall record and 14-4 mark in duals. Duke’s 157-pounder, Kerr-Brown is riding a three-match win streak and has won seven of his previous eight bouts.
Hartmann, ranked 18th nationally at 197 pounds, is 17-8 overall and 12-6 in duals. He most recently picked up a win over North Carolina’s Frank Abbondanza, while four of his six dual losses have come against top 20 opponents.
Freshman Xaviel Ramos is coming off of his first ACC win at 141 pounds and is 7-18 overall, while Brendan Walsh earned his first conference victory at heavyweight to improve to 7-4 on the year. At 174 pounds, Trey Adamson is 14-11 overall and looks to rebound after a pair of tough setbacks to ACC foes.
Duke features a young lineup overall, with eight underclassmen and four true or redshirt freshmen starting for the Blue Devils.
The Citadel is led by eighth-ranked Turtogtokh Luvsandorj at 165 pounds. The redshirt senior is 29-5 overall and has a chance to become the Bulldogs’ winningest wrestler with a pair of victories Sunday. At 141 pounds, 15th-ranked Ugi Khisignyam is 15-3 overall and has won six of his past seven duals for the Bulldogs.
Four other Citadel wrestlers join Luvsandorj in the 20-wins club. Aaron Walker is 24-7 overall at 157 pounds, while Joaquin Marquez sports a 22-11 mark from the 125-pound spot. Marshall Haas (197) and Matt Frisch (20-8) are 21-14 and 20-8, respectively.
Duke closes out the regular season Feb. 22 against ACC foe NC State and Big Ten opponent Northwestern at 10 a.m., and 2 p.m., respectively.
