DURHAM, N.C.- The Duke track and field team is set for the UNC Outdoor Invitational on April 14, 2012 in Chapel Hill, N.C.  Recently, sat down with senior sprinter Brittany Whitehead to learn more about the Cherry Hill, N.J., native.  What embarrassing music do you have on your iPod?
Brittany WhiteheadMy ipod is all country music which I don't think is embarrassing.  I guess if it was on shuffle you could come across some of the "Now That's What I Call Music" Volumes from a few years ago. What is your favorite movie?
BW: It would probably be '10 Things I Hate About You' or 'Remember the Titans". What is on your bucket list?
BW: I want to go watch the Olympics one day and I would like to go skydiving. What is the biggest obstacle you've had to overcome athletically?
BW: Definitely overcoming my nerves.  I used to get so nervous that I would make myself sick before every race so being able to calm myself down and focus more. What is your favorite home-cooked meal?
BW: My mom is a pretty good cook.  Anything that she makes with seafood I tend to love.  She also makes these twice-baked potatoes that I'm a big fan of. Can you cook? If so, what are you good at making?
BW: I can cook enough that when I need to eat I have food but I am definitely not a top chef or anything like that.  I like to use the George Forman grill for quesadillas, chicken, anything on there. What has been your favorite class at Duke?
BW: I really enjoyed all of the MMS classes that I took. I took one with Grody (George Grody) that was really great. I'm also in a class where my coach's wife (Dr. Makeba Wilbourn) is the teacher.  It's called 'The goal of race and culture in child development' and it has been really eye opening and a great experience and I am not just saying that because she is his wife either. What has been your toughest class at Duke?
BW: Math 32.  I thought I really liked math and then I took that and it changed my mind. Where do you like to study?
BW: I like to study in the library; usually the first floor of Perkins is where I go.  Who has had the most impact on your life and why?
BW: That would be my parents.  I've just always been really close with them and they have been my main support system and help me with all tough decisions. They have also shown me that a lot of times I need to step back and enjoy life, not take things so seriously. Describe Coach Wilbourn in one word.
BW: Knowledgeable. Who would you trade places with for a day?
BW: Maybe Beyonce, I think that would be pretty cool. What's your worst habit?
BW: My worst habit is saying "um" when I talk.  Fill in the blank - I wish I knew how to _________
BW: dance. Who would you want to play you in a movie?
BW: I've been told Jennifer Garner before. What is your favorite restaurant in Durham?
BW: Probably Sushi Love.
