Other Blue Devils to make the team include Justin Amezquita (pole vault), Tanner Anderson (high jump), Brian Atkinson (distance), Curtis Beach (multis), Austin Carpenter (javelin), Domenick DeMatteo (distance), Michael Krone (high jump), Brendon Pierson (distance) and Ben Raskin (sprints).
Duke leads the ACC and is ranked fourth nationally with nine members named to the squad. Brigham Young University earned the most nods national with 16. They were followed by Minnesota (11) and Stanford (10). As a conference, the ACC ranked third nationally with 42 total selections behind the Big Ten (47) and the Big 12 (45).
A total of 431 student-athletes representing 148 institutions were named to the All-Academic squad. To qualify, the student-athlete must maintain a 3.25 grade point average and either be ranked nationally during the indoor season or participate in any round of the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships.
