Postgame Notes * March 10, 2013

With the Duke Victory…

• Improved to 30-2 overall claimed its eighth ACC Championship.
• Collected its 10th 30-win season over the last 13 years.
• Moved to 6-3 all-time in the ACC Championship game against UNC.
• Coach P moved to 37-12 all-time in league tournament action and 13-3 in the ACC Tournament. She won her third ACC Championship (2010, 2011, 2013).
• Won its seventh straight game against North Carolina.
• Posted its 32nd win in the ACC Tournament since the 2000 campaign.
• Improved to 34-7 all-time in the Greensboro Coliseum.
• Improved to 41-28 all-time in the ACC Tournament.
• Moved to 3-5 all-time against No. 3 seeds in the ACC Tournament.
• Coach P moved to 9-8 all-time against UNC.
• Moved to 6-6 all-time against UNC in the ACC Tournament.
• Won three contests against UNC in the same season for the fourth time in school history.
• Higher seeds moved to 14-0 in the ACC Championship games played in the Greensboro Coliseum.

Freshman Alexis Jones
• Named MVP of the tournament – scored 53 points in three games.
• Totaled a career-high 24 points, eight rebounds, four steals and three assists.
• Registered double-digit scoring in her sixth straight game and 12th overall time this season.
• With her four steals, moved into a tie for 58th on the Duke single-season freshman list.
• Registered 20 or more points for the second time this season.
• Scored 46 points the last two games against UNC.
• Tallied 18 assists in three ACC Tournament games, which is a new Duke tournament record.

Junior Haley Peters
• Named All-ACC Tournament First Team
• Totaled 17 points and five rebounds, while hitting 7-of-8 field goals.
• In seven career ACC Tournament games, has registered double-figure scoring in four of those.
• Totaled double-figure scoring in her last two ACC Tournament games and five out of the last six overall contests.
• Posted double-digit scoring in her 24th game this season and 53rd of her career.

Junior Tricia Liston
• Named All-ACC Tournament Second Team
• Had seven points, three assists and two rebounds.
• Hit her 70th three-pointer on the season.
• Needs only eight more points to reach 1,000 for her career (982).
• Finished the ACC Tournament with 10 three-pointers in three games.

Sophomore Elizabeth Williams
• Named All-ACC Tournament First Team
• Had 24 points, eight rebounds, three steals, two blocks and two assists.
• Hit 8-of-8 free throws.
• Totaled 20 or more points for the sixth time this season and ninth time in her career.
• Notched double-digit scoring for the 19th straight game against an ACC opponent.
• Blocked a shot for the 65th straight game since arriving at Duke, which is a new ACC record. Broke the previous record of 64 held by UNC’s LaToya Pringle.
• Took two charges in the game and has now taken six this season.

Junior Richa Jackson
• Made her fifth start of the season.
• Had a season-high eight rebounds, while scoring eight points.

Junior Chloe Wells
• Snapped a streak of five straight games without a three-pointer.
• Finished with seven points, four assists, two rebounds and one steal.

Other Duke Notes…
• Won its 23rd straight game when scoring 80 or more points.
• Is 22-0 this season when scoring 70 or more points this season.
• Outrebounded North Carolina, 39-33.
• Hit 22-of-27 free throws for an 81.5 percentage.
• Drained 56.7 percent from the field in the game, which is the first time Duke has shot over 50.0 percent since Jan. 31 vs. Miami. It was the highest field goal percentage in the ACC Championship since 1984.
• Three different players had eight or more rebounds.
• Hit 64.3 percent from the field in the second half, which is a season high.
• Drained 21 three-pointers in three ACC Tournament games.
