The national meet includes the best professional and amateur athletes in the country and serves as the selection event to represent Team USA at the IAAF World Championships, August 10-18 in Moscow, Russia.

Beach, a six-time All-America, earned first team All-America honors in the men’s decathlon at the 2013 NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships earlier this month.  The Albuquerque, N.M., native destroyed the field in the men’s long jump event by jumping 25-7.50 (7.81).  The mark earned Beach his sixth outdoor school record.  Beach earned second team All-America honors in the event in 2012.

Bottorff has earned All-America honors in cross country, indoor and outdoor track.  The Newark, Del., native was crowned the 2011 NCAA Champion in the 10,000 meters at Drake Stadium, the same location as the USA Championships.  More recently, she finished seventh in the 5,000 at the 2013 NCAA Indoor Championships, setting a new ACC record in the event by crossing the line in 15:49.45.

Ross, a five-time All-America, wrapped up her Blue Devil career with a strong senior year, which includes earning first team All-America honors in the women’s 800 during the indoor and outdoor season.  The St. Louis, Mo., native broke the school record in the event, clocking a 2:02.48 to finish seventh at the NCAA finals.  During her senior campaign, Ross also picked up two ACC Championships, one indoor and one outdoor, in the 800 and garnered second team All-America honors by running the 800 leg of Duke’s distance medley relay at the 2013 NCAA Indoor Championships.

Clark had an outstanding rookie campaign in the pole vault, which included clearing a personal best 13-7.25 (4.15) at the 2013 Virginia Challenge to rank third on Duke’s all-time list.  The Fort Benning, Ga., native finished fourth at the 2013 ACC Indoor Championships, narrowly missing All-ACC honors and finished tied for fifth at the 2013 ACC Outdoor Championships.  Her top performance mark also qualified her to compete at the NCAA East First Round.

Rowbury will compete in the women’s 1,500.  The San Francisco, Calif., native finished sixth in the event at the 2012 Olympics, earning the highest finish ever by an American woman in the event.  During her Duke career, Rowbury was the 2007 NCAA Indoor Track and Field mile champion and earn All-America honors in cross country, indoor and outdoor track.
