DURHAM, N.C. - With just under a month to go before the start of the 2012 campaign, the Duke men's cross country program welcomes six newcomers to the program. The talented group includes student-athletes hailing from Connecticut, Florida, Illinois, New Jersey, New York and Wisconsin.
"We have an outstanding group of distance runners," said men's head coach Norm Ogilvie, who enters his 22nd cross country season this fall. "This is not only a large class, but a high-quality class. This is a great group and we're very excited about their potential."
Winnetka, Ill. (Loyola Academy)
Completed prep career at Loyola Academy in Wilmette, Ill. ... all-state selection in cross country as a senior after finishing 17th overall at the state meet ... guided Loyola to an 18th-place showing at the state championships ... took fourth overall at his sectional meet ... also helped his cross country squad earn a fourth-place finish at the 2011 Nike Cross Nationals.
