DURHAM, N.C. -- Duke's senior tandem of Brinson Paolini and Julian Suri will be in competition this weekend (Feb. 1-3) at the Jones Cup Invitational at Ocean Forest Golf Club in Sea Island, Ga. A field comprised of the best amateur golfers in the world, representing 10 countries, will compete over three days on the beautiful Rees Jones layout for a chance to add their name to a list of great champions that includes DJ Trahan, Gregg Jones, Nicholas Thompson, Luke List, Kyle Stanley, Patrick Reed, John Peterson and Justin Thomas.

Paolini and Suri are coming off strong fall seasons in which each player finished in the top 20 of all four events and in the top 10 in three of those tournaments. Suri leads the Blue Devils with a 71.5 stroke average with Paolini just behind at 71.6. Both players shot even-par or better in seven of 12 fall rounds with Suri pacing Duke with six under-par outings.

Joining Paolini and Suri in the field will be defending champion Justin Thomas, Steven Fox (2012 US Amateur Champion), Nathan Smith (4 time US Mid Amateur Champion), Bobby Wyatt (Sunnehanna Amateur Champion), Peter Williamson (Southern Amateur and North/South Amateur Champion), Richy Werenski (Porter Cup Champion) and a host of other talented amateurs who have hopes of playing their way onto their respective Walker Cup team.
