Duke Places Four on PING All-East Region Team

DURHAM, N.C. -- Senior Wes Roach along with the sophomore class of Tim Gornik, Brinson Paolini and Julian Suri were each named to the Division I PING All-East Region team on Tuesday as announced by the GCAA. A total of 152 players across six regions - Northeast, East, Southeast, Midwest, Central and West - earned all-region honors for 2011.

Duke's four selections are tied with Georgia Tech for the most All-East Region picks in 2011.

The four Duke all-region golfers has combined for 25 top 20 finishes, including 10 top 10s, 33 under-par rounds and 19 rounds in the 60s this season. The quartet of players opened NCAA Championship play on Tuesday as well.

Paolini, Roach and Suri were also All-East Region selections last season, while Gornik received all-region honors for the first time.
