DURHAM, N.C. -- The Duke men's golf team, eighth in the latest Golfweek rankings, will be in action March 8-10 at the Southern Highlands Collegiate Masters in Las Vegas, Nev. The 54-hole, three-day tournament is being played at the 7,510-yard, par 72 Southern Highlands Golf Club.

The Blue Devils are joined in the loaded field by No. 1 California, No. 2 Texas, No. 3 Alabama, No. 5 New Mexico, No. 6 UCLA, No. 7 USC, No. 10 Florida, No. 11 Georgia, No. 12 Georgia Tech, No. 13 Stanford, No. 17 Oklahoma State, No. 25 Texas A&M, No. 28 Oklahoma and No. 39 UNLV.

The Duke lineup for the tournament has yet to be determined as the Blue Devils have a five-member team and one individual slotted to compete. Duke's senior class of Tim Gornik, Brinson Paolini, Adam Sumrall and Julian Suri are joined by sophomore Michael Ricaurte and freshman Mads Soegaard.

Paolini, rated 13th in the Golfweek/Sagarin Rankings, leads the Blue Devils in stroke average (71.4), under-par rounds (7), even-par or better rounds (9), top 5 finishes (3), top 10 finishes (4) and top 20 finishes (5) this season. He is coming off a four-under (140) tie for third at the rain-shortened John Hayt Collegiate Invitational (Feb. 24-25).

Suri is second on the team in stroke average (72.0), under-par rounds (6), top 10 finishes (3) and top 20 finishes (4). He shared individual medalist honors at the 2012 Rod Myers Invitational and also has top 10 finishes at the Tar Heel Intercollegiate and Olympia Fields/Fighting Illini Invitational.

Sumrall and Soegaard each boast 73.1 stroke averages, respectively. Sumrall has four even-par rounds with three top 20 finishes on the season, while Soegaard is tied for second on the team with six under-par rounds to go with two top 10 showings.

Gornik has played seven total rounds this season and owns a 74.0 stroke average. He has a pair of top 20 finishes with one even-par and one under-par rounds. Ricaurte has been strong in qualifying but has yet to carry that play over into tournament action. He has a 77.8 stroke average over eight rounds.

Host UNLV claimed the Southern Highlands Collegiate Masters last year with an eight-over 872 with Blake Biddle (UNLV) claiming the individual medalist honors at four-under (212).
