PINEHURST, N.C. - Through 36 holes at the 110th North & South Women’s Amateur Championship, Duke University junior Alejandra Cangrejo sits tied for seventh overall with a two-day total of 145 at the 6,563-yard, par 72 Pinehurst No. 8 Course in Pinehurst, N.C.

Cangrejo, who is from Bogota, Colombia, advanced to the third and final round of stroke play qualifying.  Following the final 18 holes on Thursday morning, the top 16 golfers will move to match play, which will kick off in the afternoon on Thursday on Pinehurst No. 2.

Through two days, Cangrejo has notched rounds of 73 and 72.  She totaled 16 pars, one birdie and one bogey on Wednesday and has made four birdies over the first two days. 

Leading the action is Jay Marie Green with a four-under-par, 140.  Four golfers are under par and Cangrejo is only five shots off the individual lead.
