DURHAM, N.C. – The ACC released its 2013 All-ACC Women’s Golf team on Monday with four Blue Devils selected, while Duke head coach Dan Brooks was named ACC Coach of the Year and freshman Celine Boutier earned Rookie of the Year by a vote of the league’s nine head coaches.

The four members on the All-ACC squad led all teams as Boutier, senior Lindy Duncan, junior Laetitia Beck and junior Alejandra Cangrejo were voted to the 12-member team.  It marks the 14th straight year the Blue Devils have registered two or more golfers on the All-ACC team.

Brooks received ACC Coach of the Year honors for the second straight year and the 13th time with the Blue Devils.  He guided Duke to the 2013 ACC Championship with a 24-stroke victory over N.C. State last month and owns 113 career wins over his 29 years as a head coach.  Brooks has posted 17 overall ACC titles and five NCAA Championships since arriving in Durham, N.C., in 1984.

For the 14th time in league history, a Duke golfer has been selected the ACC Rookie of the Year.  Boutier, who is out of Montrouge, France, owns the highest freshman stroke average in the ACC with a 73.71 ledger and ranks No. 36 nationally in the Golfweek/Sagarin Performance Index.  She owns one top five, three top 10 and four top 20 finishes on the season and is coming off a sixth place finish at the ACC Championship.

A native of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., Duncan earned the All-ACC award for the fourth straight year, after collecting an ACC-best 72.19 stroke average on the season.  She is currently ranked No. 6 nationally in the Golfweek/Sagarin Performance Index as she has notched four top five, five top 10 and seven top 20 finishes.  Duncan owns 10 rounds of even or under par and her 72.19 stroke average ranks as the seventh-best in school history.

With Duncan earning four All-ACC selections over her career, she joined the likes of Amanda Blumenherst, Jenny Chuasiriporn, Anna Grzebien, Candy Hannemann, Leigh Anne Hardin, Jennie Lee, Virada Nirapathpongporn, Jennifer Pandolfi and Liz Janangelo as the only four-time All-ACC selections in Blue Devil history.  Only six other ACC golfers have been four-time All-ACC selections -- Brittany Altomare (UVA), Catherine O’Donnell (UNC), Calle Nielson (UVA), Leah Wigger (UVA), Caroline Westrup (FSU) and Stephanie Neill (WF).

Beck, who is out of Caesarea, Israel, was voted All-ACC for the third straight year.  She is having the best season since arriving at Duke with a 73.13 stroke average, one top five finish, four top 10 and seven top 20 placements.  Beck is ranked 18th nationally and her 73.13 stroke average is the third best in the league.  She is coming off finishing second at the ACC Championship and owns four straight top 10 finishes heading into regional play.

With a career-best 74.13 stroke average, Cangrejo was named All-ACC for the first time since arriving at Duke three years ago.  A product of Bogota, Colombia, she has totaled one top five and three top 20 finishes on the year.  Cangrejo finished tied for third at the ACC Championship and her 74.13 stroke average ranks seventh in the league.  She is also ranked No. 52 nationally in the Golfweek/Sagarin Performance Index.

Other members on the All-ACC team were Altomare (UVA), Casey Grice (UNC), Briana Mao (UVA), Jessica Negron (FSU), Letcia Ras-Anderica (Miami), Jackie Chang (UNC), Brittany Marchand (NCSU) and Augusta James (NCSU).  Altomare also earned ACC Player of the Year accolades.

Third-ranked Duke will next compete in the NCAA Central Regional from May 9-11 in Norman, Okla., where the Blue Devils are the No. 1 overall seed.
