DURHAM, N.C. – Reigning National Coach of the Year Dan Brooks announced the 2014-15 Duke women’s golf schedule Monday as the Blue Devils look to defend its NCAA crown from this past season.

Duke will return two starters off its squad that captured the sixth NCAA Championship in school history this past May at the Tulsa Country Club in Tulsa, Okla.  Leading the Blue Devils will be reigning National Player of the Year Celine Boutier, who enters her junior campaign, and rising sophomore Sandy Choi.  Duke will also return two letterwinners – Irene Jung and Yi Xiao.

The Blue Devils will kick off the fall season Sept. 14-16 at the Cougar Classic, which will be played at the Yeamans Hall Club in Charleston, S.C.  Duke will play a total of four tournaments in the fall, including the inaugural Annika Intercollegiate at the Reunion Resort Watson Course in Orlando, Fla., Sept. 28-30.  The Blue Devils will defend their 2013 title Oct. 10-12 at the Tar Heel Invitational in Chapel Hill, N.C., and close the fall campaign Oct. 24-26 at the Landfall Tradition in Wilmington, N.C.

Duke will open the spring season Feb. 8-10 at the Northrop Grumman Challenge at the Palos Verdes Golf Club in Palos Verdes, Calif.  The Blue Devils will then head to Hilton Head, S.C., March 6-8 to defend their title at the Darius Rucker Intercollegiate at the Long Cove Club.

From March 27-29 in Athens, Ga., Duke will compete in the Liz Murphey Collegiate at the University of Georgia Golf Course and then close the regular season at the PING/ASU Invitational April 10-12 at the ASU Karsten Golf Course.

The ACC Championship will be played April 17-19 at the Sedgefield Country Club in Greensboro, N.C.  Duke will then head to the NCAA Regionals, which will take place in either Raleigh, N.C., San Antonio, Texas, Notre Dame, Ind., and St. George, Utah.

In 2015, the NCAA Championship will move to a stroke play and match play format at Concession Golf Club in Bradenton, Fla., May 22-27.  The championship will feature three days of team stroke play from May 22-24, one individual stroke play round May 25 and three days of team match play May 24-27.

Brooks will enter his 31st year with the Blue Devils and has led Duke to six NCAA Championships during his tenure – 1999, 2002, 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2014.

Along with the three letterwinners returning, Brooks will feature three very talented incoming freshmen on the 2014-15 roster – Leona Maguire, Lisa Maguire and Gurbani Singh.
