DURHAM, N.C. - Duke’s Lindy Duncan has been named the Ronald McDonald House Charities Duke Student-Athlete of the Week, after placing tied for sixth at the NCAA Central Regional over the weekend.

With her finish, Duncan received one of two individual spots from the Central Region to play in the NCAA Championship from May 18-21 at the Texas A&M Traditions Club in College Station, Texas. 

Duncan, who is from Fort Lauderdale, Fla., produced rounds of 75, 72 and 75 for a total of 222 over 54 holes at the Warren Golf Club in South Bend, Ind.  She has now finished in the top 13 of two NCAA Regionals since arriving at Duke.

On the season, Duncan continues to lead the ACC with a 72.67 stroke average.  She was recently named ACC Player of the Year for the second straight year.  Duncan has totaled eight top 10 finishes this season out of 10 tournaments.
