DURHAM, N.C. – The National Golf Coaches Association (NGCA) has released its postseason honors with Duke University senior Lindy Duncan highlighting the awards with her fourth straight First Team All-America accolade.  She became only the third Blue Devil to earn first team honors on four different occasions (Liz Janangelo and Virada Nirapathpongporn).

Blue Devil freshman Celine Boutier and junior Laetitia Beck also received Honorable Mention NGCA All-America for their solid seasons.

Duncan, who is out of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., closed her outstanding career last week at the NCAA Championship with a second place finish, after going birdie, birdie and eagle over her final three holes.  She notched a 71.86 stroke average, which was the seventh-best in school history, while totaling six top five, seven top 10 and nine top 20 finishes this season.  Duncan led Duke with 17 rounds of even or under par.

Over her career, Duncan made her mark in the Duke record book ranking second in top five finishes (21), second in top 10 finishes (32), tied for fifth in wins (6), second in top 20 finishes (39), second in even or under par rounds (72), third as Duke’s top scorer in a tournament (27) tied for sixth in rounds played (126) and second in rounds in the 60s (23).

Boutier played her best golf on the biggest stage as she carded a tied for fourth place finish at the NCAA Championship with rounds of 69, 73, 71 and 74 for a total of one-under-par, 287.  A native of Montrouge, France, Boutier registered a 73.45 stroke average, two top five, four top 10 and five top 20 finishes on the year. Her 73.45 stroke average is the sixth best in school history by a Blue Devil rookie.  Boutier was the 2013 ACC Rookie of the Year.

Turning in her best season at Duke was Beck, as she totaled a career-best 73.16 stroke average, had one top five, four top 10 and eight top 20 finishes in 2012-13.  Beck, a product of Caesarea, Israel, closed the season with eight top 20 finishes over her final nine tournaments.  This included a second place finish at the ACC Championship and tied for 17th placement at the NCAA Championship.  Beck is a three-time All-ACC selection.

The NGCA also released its All-Region teams with Duncan, senior Courtney Ellenbogen and junior Alejandra Cangrejo earning honors.    Duncan placed fifth overall in the regional with rounds of 69, 72 and 71, while Cangrejo was second overall with day totals of 72, 69 and 70, which was a career-best five-under-par, 211.  Ellenbogen closed the regional with a career-best five-under-par, 67, to help the Blue Devils shoot a 12-under-par ledger and win their eighth NCAA regional title.  A product of Blacksburg, Va., Ellenbogen finished tied for eighth overall for the tournament.

As a team, Duke carded a second place finish at the NCAA Championship, after shooting a school-record 72-hole total of 1,154.  It was the 13th top-five finish at the NCAA Championship and second time Duke has placed second overall under the direction of 2012 and 2013 ACC Coach of the Year Dan Brooks.
