DURHAM, N.C.— Duke junior Irene Jung took some time away from her summer recently to sit down with to answer a few questions.  Jung, who is a product of Bedford, Nova Scotia, Canada, will enter her third season with the Blue Devils in 2013-14.  She has appeared in 10 career tournaments since arriving in Durham.

What are your plans for the summer?
I'm actually taking two summer classes until the end of July and then going on a little family vacation in August to the beach.

Do you have any certain part of your game you are trying to work on this summer?
Unfortunately, summer school has been taking up most of my time so far, but I'm hoping to get out on the range soon and just work on my swing a little bit and also my chipping.

What do you like best about playing for head coach Dan Brooks?
Coach Brooks can read my body language really well, so he always knows how to cheer me up out on the course and get my chin up again.

What is your most memorable summer vacation?
When I was really young, we would rent a cabin by the beach and my whole family would spend about two weeks there, playing golf, swimming, and just relaxing. The best part was when we would go raspberry picking on our way home.

What do you enjoy most about the summer?
I love those summer days where you literally don't do anything but watch TV and eat.

What is your favorite rainy day summertime board game to play with friends or family?
My family used to love playing Monopoly.

If you had to choose from these three, what would you go with – ocean, lake or pool and why?
The ocean, probably because I don't get to go to the beach very often.

Have you ever tried to surf?

Do you prefer having hot dogs or hamburgers on the grill?

Who is the best putt-putt player in your family?
My dad, he's a really good at putting in general.

Do you prefer a smoothie, ice cream or yogurt during the summer?
My favorite is frozen yogurt with a lot of toppings.

What do you like doing when you get a chance to have free time away from the golf course?
I have a shopping addiction, so if I'm not practicing or studying I'm probably at the mall. I'm also really into Netflix and occasionally I like to go running.
