DURHAM, N.C. – The Women’s Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) has released the 2012-13 All-American Scholars for Division I and Duke rising sophomore Yi Xiao earned honors, after posting a 3.787 grade-point average in her first year with the Blue Devils.

The criteria for selection to the All-American Scholar Team are some of the most stringent in all of college athletics. The minimum cumulative GPA is 3.50.

A native of Guangzhou, Guangdong, South China, Xiao saw action in four tournaments as a rookie for Duke.  Xiao totaled a 74.92 stroke average and opened her career with a tied for 10th place finish at the Cougar Classic with rounds of 72, 74 and 68 for a total of 214.  She received Dean’s List accolades for the spring semester.
