2013-14: In the fall, concluded the season with a 38th-place finish at the Southeast Region Championships (11/15), clocking a personal-best 10K time of 30:16.4…scored for the Blue Devils at the ACC Championships (11/1), placing fourth on the team and 38th overall in an 8K time of 24:57.7…Indoors, placed third in the 3,000 at the Virginia Tech Challenge (2/21)…qualified for the ACC Indoor Championships (2/28), placing 16th in the 5,000…placed first in the 5,000 at the Virginia Tech Elite Meet (2/8)…Outdoors, focused primarily on the steeplechase…saw a season-best time of 9:03.39 come at the Wolfpack Last Chance meet (5/16), placing second behind teammate Shaun Thompson…also placed second in the steeplechase at the Penn Relays (4/24)…qualified for the ACC Outdoor Championships (4/18), placing 11th overall in the steeplechase.
2012-13: Came on strong at the end of the fall, earning a spot on Duke’s NCAA Championships squad ... notched a time of 32:03.2 on the 10K course at NCAAs to place 217th ... scored for the Blue Devils with a 50th-place finish at the NCAA Southeast Regional Championship, clocking 31:18.10 over 10K ... recorded a personal-best mark of 24:49.0 in a 32nd-place showing at the ACC Championships ... started off the season with a fifth-place effort at the Great American Cross Country Festival ... awarded a spot on the All-ACC Academic Cross Country team...did not compete during the indoor season…Outdoors, specialized in the 3,000 meter steeplechase where he ran a personal-best time of 9:22.41 at the Duke Invitational...finished eighth at the ACC Championships, earning the Blue Devils a valuable point in the team race, clocking a time of 9:28.39.
2011-12: Turned in a fourth-place finish at the Great American Cross Country Festival, clocking 25:23.3 for 8K...recorded a personal-best time of 25:21.7 to place 74th at the ACC Cross Country Championship...closed out the fall with a 13th-place showing at the Three Stripe Red Shirt Invitational...did not compete during the 2012 track & field seasons...named to the ACC Academic Honor Roll.
2010-11: Made his Duke cross country debut on Oct. 1 at the Great American XC Festival, where he placed 10th in 26:13.7 over 8K...indoors, finished sixth in the 5,000m at the Virginia Tech Challenge with a time of 15:34.27...outdoors, clocked a season-best 15:19.17 in the 5,000m at the Duke Invitational...finished 15th at the Duke Twilight, running 15:25.87...also competed in the 3,000m steeplechase, turning in a 9:58.17 effort to take sixth at the Taylor-Hilton UNC Invite.
Prior to Duke: First team all-league and second team all-section in cross country...named Academic NCS MVP in cross country...honorary mention all-league in the 3,200m...two-time NCS Academic MVP in track...also named team NCS MVP for track & field...lettered two seasons in football, earned NCS Academic MVP honors while playing outside linebacker...Orinda Parents Club Social Studies Award and Jonathan Dean Sisto Scholarship recipient...member of the California Scholastic Federation.
