Honors: ACC Academic Honor Roll (2012)

2011-12: Did not compete during the 2011-12 seasons..named to the ACC Academic Honor Roll.

Prior to Duke: Completed prep career under the direction of Monique Guidry at Boulder High School...two-time individual state champion in cross country...also won a state title in track & field, placing first in the 3,200m as a sophomore...selected the Gatorade Colorado Cross Country Female of the Runner of the Year as a senior and junior...also named Girls Athlete of the Year by ESPNRise Colorado and the Cross Country Athlete of the Year by the Denver Post as a junior...a first team All-American honoree at the Foot Locker Cross Country National Championships her junior year after taking fourth overall...captured the crown at the 2009 USATF National Cross Country National Championships...recipient of the Colorado Running Hall of Fame High School Distance Running Achievement Award and the Sportswomen of Colorado Cross Country Running Award...member of the National Honor Society...earned a spot on the high honor roll.

Personal: Daughter of Steve and Cynthia Lakowske...born Feb. 24, 1993...has one brother, Derek...aunt, Risë Alexander, is the head women's golf coach at Oregon State University and competed professionally from 1977-81...cousin, Joey Lakowske, played baseball at Oregon State and was a member of the Beavers' national championship team.
