DURHAM, N.C. – Former Blue Devil Darin Goldstein was honored Saturday with the unveiling of Goldstein Court at Duke’s Ambler Tennis Stadium.
A letterwinner for the men’s tennis program from 2002-04, Goldstein helped guide the Blue Devils to multiple ACC regular season championships and an ACC Tournament title in 2003, as well as two appearances in the NCAA Championship during his career.
The New York, N.Y., native, who has been a supporter of the Duke tennis programs since his graduation, was on hand for Saturday’s recognition ceremony.
“It’s an amazing honor, just to be a part of this university,” Goldstein said. “My family loves this place. I’m just really honored.”
“Darin has been an incredible supporter of our team, not only at this moment, but since he’s graduated,” said former men’s tennis head coach Jay Lapidus. “He has been very philanthropic with us and he’s always asking what else he can do for the program. He’s a person who makes a huge difference in the lives of the student-athletes and Duke Athletics.”
