PORTLAND, Ore. - Sophomore Annie Mulholland cruised in her second group singles match at the United States Tennis Association Collegiate Invitational in Portland, Ore., Saturday. Mulholland and junior Marianne Jodoin are now 1-1 in group play as the two enter Sunday's final group stage match after Jodoin fell in her match to Grace Ysidora of Washington.

The group stage will conclude Sunday morning as Jodoin and Mulholland both have one more match to determine the top player in each group. The top player in each group will advance to a single elimination "shoot-out" on Sunday, in which players play a shortened tie-breaker to determine who advances. The winner of the shootout will receive a wildcard to a future USTA Pro Circuit event designated by USTA Player Development.

In the second match of group play on Saturday, No. 108 Mulholland cruised past Portland's Nastya Polyakova, 6-0, 6-3 while No. 27 Jodoin was edged by Ysidora, 6-4, 6-3. On Sunday, Mulholland and Jodoin are both set to face junior players from the USTA with Mulholland squaring off against Jenny Brady and Jodoin playing Claire Liu.

In the doubles back draw, Jodoin and Mulholland paired up to down Jessica Ho and Claire Liu, 8-2. Jodoin and Mulholland will face Catherine Harrison and Chanelle Van Nguyen of UCLA Sunday.
