DURHAM, N.C. - The Duke field hockey team announced the addition of Hunter Bracale  to its 2013 roster Monday, April 8.  The Hummelstown, Pa., native will join Robin Blazing, Heather Morris, Savannah Story and Kelsey Wagner to make up the class of 2017.

Position: Midfield/Defense
High School: Lower Dauphin
Hometown: Hummelstown, P.A.

Honors: Two-time PIAA AAA State Champion (2009, 2012), Mid Penn Keystone Player of the Year (2012), three-time Mid-Penn Keystone All-Star (2010, 2011, 2012), PHSFHCA All State First Team (2012), PHSFHCA All-State Second Team (2011), Big 11 First team (2012), team captain (2012), member of the Barracudas club team that qualifying for the NIT  in 2010, 2011 and 2012

Coach Bustin's thoughts: "I am excited to welcome Hunter Bracale to Duke University! Hunter is an outstanding all-around athlete. She is an absolute competitor and a force on the field. Having graduated from the prestigious Lower Dauphin field hockey program led by Hall of Fame coach, Linda Kreiser, Hunter has experienced the thrill of victory as well as years of exceptional coaching. I anticipate Hunter's adjustment to college hockey to be seamless and expect her hockey talents to increase exponentially!  We are thrilled that Hunter has chosen Duke University."
