Honors: ACC Academic Honor Roll (2011-12)
2013-14: Primarily a shot put specialist during the indoor season…saw a season-best mark of 52-5.25 (15.98) in the shot put at the Hilton Garden Innvitational (1/31)…highest shot put finish of the season came in the form of a third-place finish at the Dick Taylor Challenge (1/24)…Outdoors, entered the shot put in four competitions…qualified for the ACC Outdoor Championships (4/18) and placed 12th with a mark of 48-8.00 (14.83)…set a personal-best distance of 52-4.75 (15.97) at the Joe Hilton Invitational (4/12).
2012-13: Saw personal records fall during the indoor and outdoor season in the shot put….indoors, finished ninth at the Virginia Tech Elite with a personal-best mark of 52-9.5 (16.09)…also finished ninth at the ACC Indoor Championships with his best throw of the day measuring 51-5 (15.67)…Outdoors, earned a personal best mark in the shot put at the ACC Outdoor Championships that measured 52-0.50 (15.86), earning him the ninth place finish…also competed in the hammer throw, earning a season-best mark of 157-10 (48.10) to finish eighth at the Duke Invitational…competed in the event at the ACC Championships where he finished 11th with a throw of 145-1 (44.23).
2011-12: Indoors, concentrated on the shot put and weight throws...threw a season best 50-6.25 (15.40) in the shot put at the Virginia Tech Challenge...at the same meet, earned a personal best mark of 48-7 (14.82) in the weight throw...finished 12th in the shot put at his first ACC Indoor Championships with a mark of 49-8.25 (15.14)...outdoors, served as Duke's lone hammer thrower, earning a personal best mark of 166-10 (50.85) to finish sixth at the Duke invitational...came in 13th at the ACC Outdoor Championships with a mark of 130-11 (39.90)...named to the ACC Academic Honor Roll.
2010-11: Did not compete during the 2010-11 season.
Prior to Duke: Lettered four years at Prairie...three-time state champion in the shot put...named Regional Male Athlete of the Year in 2010...Idaho High School Heisman State Champion...earned Most Valuable Field Athlete honors three times...also lettered four years in football...two-time all-state selection in football...led high school to state championship in 2008 and runner-up finish in 2009 on the gridiron...member of the National Honor Society...graduated as class valedictorian...named Prairie High School Student of the Year.
