STANFORD, Calif. – Following a thrilling win in the round of 16, the third-seeded Duke women’s tennis team will face off with sixth-seeded UCLA in the 2011 NCAA Tournament Quarterfinals on Sunday at 12 p.m. (PT) - 3 p.m. (ET) - at the Taube Tennis Center Stadium courts.

Duke in the Quarterfinals
The Blue Devils are making their third consecutive appearance and 15th overall in the NCAA Tournament Quarterfinals. Duke has advanced to the quarterfinals in six out of the last 10 seasons, and has posted a 6-8 overall record.

The Blue Devils versus the Bruins
The Blue Devils are meeting the Bruins for second time in the quarterfinals, and the second consecutive time the two teams have met in the NCAA Tournament. The last meeting between Duke and UCLA came in the Round of 16 in the 2010 NCAA Tournament, as the Blue Devils earned a 4-2 win after Elizabeth Plotkin clinched the match in a third set tiebreaker that sent Duke to the quarterfinals. Duke and UCLA are meeting for the seventh time, with the all-time series tied at 3-3 between the two schools.

Reaching the Century Mark
Seniors Ellah Nze and Nadine Fahoum captured their 100th career singles victories this season. Nze reached the 100-win mark in singles on Jan. 31 in a win over Texas A&M, and currently has an overall record of 110-55. Fahoum registered her 100th career singles victory against William & Mary on Jan. 22, and now owns a career mark of 107-34.

Zsilinszka Breaks Career ACC Win Record
Duke senior Reka Zsilinszka earned the 32nd ACC singles victory of her career against Maryland on March 27, surpassing former teammate Melissa Mang’s mark of 31. Zsilinszka finished her career with a record of 38-3 in singles action.

The Clincher
Zsilinszka leads all Blue Devils with seven matches clinched this season, highlighted by a 4-6, 6-0, 6-3, win in the round of 16 against Georgia Tech on Friday that propelled Duke into the quarterfinals. Plotkin, Nze, Fahoum, Mary Clayton and Rachel Kahan have all clinched three match wins, while Monica Gorny and Hanna Mar each have one.

On a Streak
Freshman Rachel Kahan has won 29 straight matches in singles competition heading into Duke’s quarterfinal match against UCLA. Kahan, the 2011 ACC Freshman of the Year, earned her 30th win of the season on Friday against Georgia Tech, and remains unbeaten at 27-0 in singles dual matches. The Unionville, Conn., native was recently selected as the 2011 ITA Carolina Regional Rookie of the Year for her accomplishments on the court this season.

Individuals in the Tournament
Three Blue Devils have earned at-large bids to the 2011 NCAA Individual Tournament that kicks off on May 25 in Stanford, Calif. Zsilinszka and Fahoum will compete in the 64-player draw in the singles competition, and the Duke tandem of Fahoum and Nze earned at-large bids for the doubles competition.
