DUKE-NC CENTRAL SERIES: Duke now leads the all-time series with NC Central, 2-0 ... The Blue Devils defeated the Eagles by a score of 49-14 in 2009

FORTY-PLUS POINT GAMES: The Blue Devils scored at least 40 points for the ninth time under Cutcliffe and improved to 8-1 when reaching the 40-point mark during the Cutcliffe era ... Cutcliffe-led teams are now 21-3 when scoring 40 or more points in a game.

FIFTY-PLUS POINT GAMES: Duke scored at least 50 points for the second time under Cutcliffe, improving to 2-0 when reaching the 50-point mark during the Cutcliffe era ... the Blue Devils' last 50-point plus effort came in a 55-48 win over Virginia in 2010 ... Cutcliffe-led teams are now 5-1 when scoring 50 or more points in a game ... in addition, the 54 points are Duke's second-highest scoring output under Cutcliffe and the fifth-highest of any Cutcliffe-led team

DUKE IN THE RED ZONE: The Blue Devils finished the evening 5-for-5 on trips into the red zone for a total of 26 points

BLUE DEVILS SCORE IN MULTIPLE WAYS: Duke received scoring contributions from its offense, defense and special teams for the first time since doing so against Maryland in 2004

GAMES STARTED & GAMES PLAYED NOTES: S Dwanye Norman earned the first starting assignment of his career ... WR Conner Vernon received his team-leading 34th consecutive start ... OT Perry Simmons has now started all 26 games of his playing career ... LS Jackson Anderson, S Walt Canty, CB Tony Foster and LB Austin Gamble all played in their team-leading 38th game.

TE ISSAC BLAKENEY: Hauled in the first touchdown reception of his career, a 54-yard strike near the end of the third quarter ... finished the night with two catches for 57 yards

QB ANTHONY BOONE: Tallied his first passing touchdown of the 2012 season, a six-yard strike to Jack Wise in the fourth quarter ... it was also the first career touchdown pass for Wise

S BRANDON BRAXTON: Led Duke's defense with nine tackles including five solo efforts

S LEE BUTLER: Recorded three punt returns for 106 yards ... the 106 yards rank sixth on Duke's single game charts ... returned a punt 65 yards for a touchdown in the first quarter, marking the 37th punt returned for a touchdown in Duke history and the first since Ronnie Hamilton returned a punt 68 yards for a score against Florida State in 2001 ... Butler's 65-yard return is also the 15th-longest punt return in program history ... also carded six tackles on defense, including four solo tackles

CB ROSS COCKRELL: Recorded an interception in the second quarter and tacked on another interception and returned it 32 yards for a touchdown in the fourth quarter ... now owns three interceptions on the season and seven for his career ... The first Duke player with multiple interceptions in a single game since Matt Daniels recorded two interceptions against Virginia Tech during the 2011 season ... also registered six tackles on the evening, including four solo tackles, as well as two pass break-ups

RB JELA DUNCAN: Led all Duke rushers with six carries for 50 yards ... matched a season-best with a 20-yard rush in the fourth quarter ... the 50 rushing yards were his highest output over three games this season

WR JAMISON CROWDER: Led all Blue Devil receivers with seven catches for 84 yards and one touchdown

K ROSS MARTIN: Kicked two field goals (25, 30 yards) and was 6-for-6 on point after attempts to total 12 points on the evening ...the 12 points are tied for the second most in a game by a Duke freshman ... his six PATs are the second most made and attempted by a freshman kicker in program history ... also matched a Duke freshman record with the two made field goals

QB SEAN RENFREE: Finished the night 24-for-34 with 274 yards and three touchdowns ... has reached double figures in the completion column in 27 consecutive games, one shy of the Duke record of 28 held by Thaddeus Lewis ... has also thrown for 150 or more yards in 20 consecutive games and 25 times in his career ... has thrown multiple scoring passes 10 times in his career ... is now tied for fifth on Duke's all-time charts with former Blue Devil Steve Slayden with 10 games of two or more touchdown passes for his career ... tallied three touchdown passes for the third time in his career ... tied for fourth all-time in career games with at least three touchdown passes ... moved into a tie for third in program history for the most 200-yard passing games for a career with 21

WR DESMOND SCOTT: With his first reception of the game, notched his 29th consecutive game with at least one catch ... that is the sixth-longest active streak in the nation ... has now caught multiple passes in 11 consecutive games and 23 times in his career ... finished the game with five receptions for 56 yards

RB JOSH SNEAD: Notched the first receiving touchdown of his career on a five-yard carry into the end zone during the third quarter ... registered the first multiple touchdown game of his career ... first Blue Devil to post a rushing and receiving touchdown in the same game since Scottie Montgomery did so against Wake Forest in 1999 ... rushed six times for 21 yards and pulled in two receptions for 24 yards

WR CONNER VERNON: Totaled five receptions for 51 yards on the evening ... with his first reception of the game, extended his streak of consecutive games with at least one catch to 38 - the longest active streak in the nation ... Vernon also established the program record for consecutive games with at least one reception, surpassing the previous record of 37 held by his former high school and collegiate teammate Donovan Varner ... he now sits seven games short of ACC record of 45 set by North Carolina's Corey Holliday ... with his second catch of the night, moved into a tie for second place on the ACC's all-time chart for pass receptions with 219, passing former Wake Forest standout Desmond Clark (216) ... he sits 13 catches shy of the league's career mark of 232 held by former Clemson standout Aaron Kelly ... has caught two or more passes in 18 consecutive games and has pulled in two or more passes in 37 career games - one game shy of the Duke record of 38 held by Varner ... moved into sixth on the ACC's career chart in receiving yardage (2,955)
