Team Notes:

•    Duke head coach Mike Krzyzewski surpassed Adolph Rupp to move into third place for the most victories at one school. Krzyzewski is 877-235 (.789) all-time as Duke’s head coach. Dean Smith is second with 879 wins, and Jim Boeheim is first with 910 victories.
•    Coach K improved to 12-3 all-time against Virginia Tech. Duke is 40-8 all-time against the Hokies.
•    Duke’s 32-point win is the program’s largest over an ACC opponent since an 82-50 win over North Carolina on March 6, 2010. It is Duke’s largest over an ACC opponent on the road since an 88-56 win at Florida State on Jan. 22, 2005.
•    Duke has defeated three ACC opponents by at least 20 points this season (68-40 vs. Clemson – Jan. 8 & 84-64 vs. Maryland – Jan. 26).
•    Duke led by 20 points, 48-28, at halftime. The Blue Devils have led three ACC opponents by at least 20 points at the half this season.
•    Duke has won at least 10 ACC games for the sixth straight season and the 21st time under Coach K.
•    The Blue Devils shot 12-of-17 (.706) from three-point range, matching a season high for made three-pointers. Duke has hit at least 10 three-pointers nine times this season. The .706 three-point shooting percentage was Duke’s second highest of the season.
•    Duke’s 70.6 percent shooting from three-point range is the highest by a visiting team in NCAA Division I this season.
•    The 32-point win was Duke’s second-largest margin of victory over Virginia Tech in the Coach K era, trailing only the 100-65 win over the Hokies on Jan. 30, 2005. It was the sixth-largest margin of victory in series history.
•    Duke committed just five turnovers while dishing out 15 assists.
•    Duke has lost back-to-back games just once since the 2009-10 season. Duke's record following a loss during that span is 17-1.
•    Duke gave up just eight assists, marking the 15th time this season that Duke has held its opponent 10 or fewer assists. Duke opponents are assisting on just 38.5 percent of their made field goals this season and average just 9.2 assists per game, the 10th-lowest mark in the country.
•    Duke’s starting five combined for 70 of Duke’s 88 points. Duke’s starters average an NCAA-leading 67.7 points per game, or 86.7 percent of the team total.

Player Notes:

Quinn Cook
•    Earned his 24th straight start, but played a season-low 18 minutes after picking up his third foul with 8:45 remaining in the first half.
•    Has hit at least one three-pointer in 11 of the past 12 games.

Seth Curry
•    Strung together his eighth straight double-digit scoring game with 22 points. It was Curry’s 13th 20-point game of the season, which ranks second in the ACC. Curry has scored 20 or more points in five of his last seven games.
•    Curry recorded his eighth double-figure scoring game in ACC play. Curry averages 17.9 points per game in league contests.
•    Scored in double figures for the 20th time this season and the 58th time in his Duke career. Duke is 18-2 this season and 51-7 all-time when Scored 19 points in the first half, hitting 5-of-6 three-pointers. The 19 points tied for the most points in a first half by a Duke player this season, matching the 19 Mason Plumlee scored in the first half at Wake Forest on Jan. 30.
•    Hit his first three three-point attempts to score nine points within the first 6:03 of the game. Curry had scored in double figures by the 8:04 mark in the first half.
•    Curry scores in double figures. Curry has scored in double figures in 10 of the past 12 games.
•    Moved into 44th place on Duke’s all-time scoring list with 1,209 career points, passing Greg Paulus (1,193).

Josh Hairston
•    In a return to his home state, scored 11 points on 4-of-6 shooting. It was Hairston’s second straight double-figure scoring game.
•    Drew two charges, giving him a team-leading 15 this season. Hairston’s 21 career charges are the second most among active Duke players behind only Ryan Kelly (42).

Alex Murphy
•    Converted his first career three-point play, sinking a layup and making the ensuing free throw.
•    Scored six straight points by converting a three-point play and hitting a three-pointer from the corner.

Mason Plumlee
•    Recorded his team-leading 15th double-double with 13 points and 12 rebounds. It was Plumlee’s seventh double-double in ACC play.
•    Dished out five assists, tying Tyler Thornton for the team lead. Plumlee has led Duke in assists three times this season.
•    Recorded three blocks, all in the first half. Plumlee has multiple blocks in 13 games this season.
•    Recorded his 999th career rebound, needing just one more rebound to become the 31st player in ACC history with 1,000 points and 1,000 rebounds. Plumlee would be the eighth player at Duke to accomplish that feat and the first since Kyle Singler did so from 2008-11.
•    Needs one more rebound to become the third player in Duke history with 1,000 points, 1,000 rebounds and 150 blocks. Plumlee has 190 career blocks.

Rasheed Sulaimon
•    Scored in double figures for the 18th time this season, pouring in 17 points on 7-of-11 shooting from the field and 3-of-4 shooting from three-point range.
•    Scored seven straight points for Duke in the second half, hitting a three-pointer and consecutive layups to extend Duke’s lead to 80-51.

Tyler Thornton
•    Scored six points and dished out five assists without committing a turnover in 30 minutes.
•    Hit his first two three-point attempts.
