DURHAM, N.C. – Following tough losses against Georgia Tech and Clemson, the Duke women’s tennis team has fallen three spots to ninth in the most recent Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) rankings as announced by the organization Tuesday. The Blue Devils own a 13-5 overall record this season, including a 4-2 mark in Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC).

The ACC is represented by six teams, including No. 1 North Carolina, No. 10 Miami, No. 14 Clemson, No. 17 Virginia and No. 19 Georgia Tech. The Southeastern Conference leads the way with seven teams tabbed in the top-25, while the ACC, Pac-12 (5) and Big Ten (4) follow close behind.

Duke boasts four players listed in the top-125 of the singles rankings, led by junior Hanna Mar, who was tabbed at No. 23 in the singles poll. Mar owns a 6-4 record in dual matches while playing in the top-spot for the squad. In addition to Mar, the Blue Devils are represented by sophomore Ester Goldfeld (No. 51), junior Marianne Jodoin (No. 99) and senior Mary Clayton (No. 110).

In doubles, the team has three tandems listed, headlined by the pair of Clayton and Goldfeld at No. 12. In addition, Goldfeld and Mar are tabbed at No. 31 on the list, while Mulholland and Goldfeld were notched at No. 53 in the country.

The Blue Devils continue their challenging slate Friday, April 12 as they take on No. 30 Florida State in Tallahassee, Fla., before traveling to Coral Gables to face No. 10 Miami Sunday, April 14.
