Duke jumped out to a 1-0 lead by taking the doubles point.  On court three, the Blue Devil tandem of Marianne Jodoin and Annie Mulholland improved to 4-1 with an 8-1 win over Kimmy Borza and Amanda Wickman on court three.

Sixth-ranked Beatrice Capra and Hanna Mar downed Audrey Ann Blakely and Taylor Washington, 8-2, on court one to clinch the doubles point for the Blue Devils.  Duke’s 24th-ranked Ester Goldfeld and Alyssa Smith were leading, 5-4, on the second court over Jocelyn Lu and Lolade Ogungbesan when the point was clinched.

In singles action, Mulholland cruised to a 6-1, 3-0 win over Wickman on court five to give Duke a 2-0 lead.  Jodoin then blanked Lu, 6-0, 6-0, on court six, while 89th-ranked Smith notched a 6-3, 6-2 win on court No. 4 to clinch the victory for the Blue Devils.

Freshman Chalena Scholl won her second straight singles match as she notched a 2-6, 6-1, 6-2 win over Washington on the second court.  The 24th-ranked Goldfeld claimed her 10th win of the season against a ranked opponent with a 7-6 (7-4), 6-1 win over 114th-ranked Blakely on court one and Duke led 6-0.

In the final singles match of the day, Duke’s 31st-ranked Mar snapped a team-best eight-match winning streak with a 6-1, 4-6, 7-10 loss to Ogungbesan on court three.
