2015: Enters the season in competition with Tanner Stone for the starting nod at right guard, where Duke must replace Laken Tomlinson, a consensus All-America selection in 2014 and first round selection (No. 28) of the Detroit Lions in the 2015 NFL Draft ... in 33 career games (1 start), has played 541 total snaps ... owns school records for power clean lift (352 lbs.; tied with Tomlinson) and bench press (480 lbs.) by an offensive lineman ... in May, 2014, honored by the ACC with the league’s Top 6 for Service Award, an accolade presented annually to six student-athletes from each conference institution who demonstrate dedication to community service and outreach programs ... in May, 2012, joined nine teammates on a mission trip to Langano, Ethiopia for well-digging project.

2014: Played in all 13 games with one start ... earned starting assignment at left guard against Tulane in place of injured starter Lucas Patrick ... member of Duke’s offensive line that led the nation in fewest tackles for loss allowed per game (3.15) … key component of an offensive front that ranked first in the ACC in sacks allowed per passing attempt (1:36.23) and second in the league in sacks allowed per game (1.00) ... part of a Blue Devil offensive unit that became the first in school history to average 180+ rushing yards and 210+ passing yards per game … helped open holes for a Duke rushing attack which averaged 181.85 yards per contest, the program’s highest mark since 1977 ... member of Duke’s offense that ranked among the ACC leaders in fourth down conversions (16; 1st), fewest turnovers lost (15; t2nd), red zone offense (.875; 3rd), scoring offense (32.4; 4th), rushing offense (181.8; 5th) and first downs per game (22.0; 5th) … helped the Blue Devils to top-50 national offensive rankings for sacks allowed per game (8th), fewest turnovers lost (16th), red zone offense (34th), scoring offense (40th), rushing offense (46th) and first downs (286; 46th) ... aided in the protection of QBs Anthony Boone and Thomas Sirk, who combined to complete 266-of-467 (.570) passes for 2,767 yards with 22 TDs against just eight INTs ... opened holes for Duke’s ground attack that featured four backs with 375+ yards and 24 rushing TDs while Boone (5), Sirk (8) and Shaun Wilson (5) became just the fourth trio in Blue Devil history to post 5+ rushing TDs each in a season … helped pave the way for Wilson to establish Duke’s single-game record for rushing yards with 245 against Kansas and set the school single-season mark for average rushing yards per attempt at 7.67 ... on the field for 376 total snaps.

2013: Played in all 14 games ... on the field for 141 total snaps.

2012: Played in six games ... saw action against FIU, N.C. Central, Memphis, Virginia, Florida State and Clemson ... on the field for 24 total snaps.

2011: Did not see game action ... recipient of the Sonny Falcone Iron Duke Award, a team honor presented annually to one offensive player, one defensive player and one player in the developmental program for their year-round commitment to strength training and conditioning.

PRIOR TO DUKE: Four-year letterman at Warren County under coach Tommy Johnson ... charted as the No. 24 offensive guard in the nation by ESPN.com ... listed as the No. 19 offensive guard in the nation by Rivals.com ... as a senior, posted 96 tackles with eight sacks and earned District 6AAA Defensive MVP honors ... All-Dixie Region choice by SuperPrep ... first team all-state (6A) pick by the Tennessee Sports Writers Association in 2010 ... named to The Tennessean’s 2010 Dream Team ... selected for the annual Toyota Tennessee East vs. West All-Star Classic on December 11, 2010 in Jefferson City, Tenn. ... also participated in track and field ... set school record in the discus throw ... region champion and state qualifier in the shot put.
