DURHAM, N.C. - Duke University finished in 16th place in the final Division I Learfield Sports Directors' Cup Standings, released on Wednesday by the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics. The Blue Devils compiled 894.50 points on the year, marking the fifth-highest total in school history.
Duke has placed among the top 20 schools in nine consecutive years. The Blue Devils ranked third among private schools behind overall winner Stanford and USC and fourth among ACC institutions behind Florida State (5th, 1,061.00), North Carolina (8th, 1005.50) and Virginia (15th, 910.00).
