Dear Iron Dukes member,

The end of the 2012-13 year is approaching, and once again Duke student-athletes have shown their excellence in athletic competition and in the classroom.  With teams still in competition, our student-athletes have already won three team ACC Tournament titles (Women’s Basketball, Men’s Golf, Women’s Golf), a NCAA Championship (Nick McCrory – Men’s Diving), and appeared in the Belk Bowl (Football), to name a few.  Most importantly, over 130 student-athletes received their Duke degree in May.  Our student-athletes continue to reach unprecedented levels for personal and team goals as they continue to “double major” in their academic discipline as well as their sport.

We would like to take this time and thank you for your generous support of the Iron Dukes over the 2012-13 year.  The cost of competing both athletically and academically will continue to rise, but our aim to provide the best for our student-athletes will not be compromised.  To be sure, your generous contribution leaves a lasting mark on all of Duke Athletics and helps to build champions both on the field and in life.  As our 2012-13 year comes to a close, we would like to remind you that pledges are due in full by June 25.  If you have not yet made a gift for the current fiscal year, you still have time.

We cannot begin to thank you enough for the support you have provided to all of our 671 student-athletes.  We are looking forward to a great 2013-14 fiscal and school year.  Be on the lookout for your 2013-14 annual brochure from us at the beginning of July.  I have no doubt that we are going to have a terrific year and I look forward to sharing more Iron dukes updates with you as the year progresses.  Please let us know if there is anything the Iron Dukes Office can do for you.

As always, Go Duke!

The Iron Dukes Team
