Chris Cook joined the Duke staff in July of 2007 and serves as an Assistant Director of Sports Information. He serves as the secondary contact for Duke's men's basketball and football teams and the primary contact for the Duke fencing and rowing teams. He is also the editor of the Duke Football Gameday Program and has also served as the primary contact for the baseball and volleyball teams.

A native of Charleston, S.C., Cook is a 2006 graduate of Wofford College with a degree in English. He worked in Wofford's sports information office for one year following graduation and served as the primary media contact for the baseball, tennis, volleyball, track and cross country teams.

In addition, Cook has served stints with the Charleston Post & Courier, Spartanburg Herald-Journal and Wofford's student newspaper, the Old Gold & Black.

Cook and his wife, Mary Jane, married on May 31, 2008 and currently reside in Hillsborough, N.C. In March of 2012, they welcomed their daughter, Susan, into the world. They also own a border terrier named Oscar.
