DURHAM, N.C.-  Recently, sat down with senior goalie Mollie Mackler to learn more about the Longmeadow, Mass., native. What do you have DVR'd?
Mollie Mackler:
Well we watch a lot of Tosh.0. We have been watching Revenge a lot too. What embarrassing music do you have on your iPod?
I have a lot of Ace of Base and ABBA. My brother and I listen to a lot of that, as well as Gloria Estefan and all kinds of 80s dance music. What's your favorite movie?
My favorite would have to be a tie between Baby Mama and Bridesmaids. Do you have any superstitions or pre-game rituals?
I try not to have any except for a large Dunkin Donuts coffee - iced, hazelnut. I always where eye black, but as I've grown up I've gotten rid of most of my superstitions just in case I can't execute all of them. What's the biggest obstacle you've had to overcome?
At Duke, I would say probably my ACL. I wasn't playing my freshman year, and was really chomping at the bit to get to play, and seven games into my sophomore year I tore my ACL. As a lot of my teammates know, you haven't truly lived till you rehab your own leg back. What's your favorite home-cooked meal?
That's tough ... My mom's a great cook. She makes really great Shepard's pie, chicken parm and actually tuna casserole. What's been your favorite class at Duke?
I've taken a wide range because I have a weird combo of markets and management studies, Psych and English. I'd say my favorite Psych class has been a neuroscience class because I learned so much. It was pretty challenging, but I learned a ton. And then a poetry class I took this fall. I had a great professor and really got to know everyone in the class really well through their writing. Who's had the most impact on your life?
I would have to say my family. Obviously my parents have done everything in their power to give me the best life possible and as many opportunities as possible. My big brother, Harrison, has set an awesome example for me even though we're so different. He's going to be a dentist, which I definitely won't be, but he's been a great role model. And my grandparents have had a huge impact, too. They're awesome. Describe Coach Kerstin Kimel in one word.
Committed. Who would you trade places with for a day?
I might trade places with Katie Couric because she seems to always land the best interviews with the most awesome celebrities. I don't know how she ended up interviewing Lil Wayne. I think that might be a pretty awesome job. Who would play you in a movie?
I think if I couldn't play myself it would have to be Mila Kunis. Even though she's only 5'2", I think she's the only actress I know who's Russian and Jewish. Can't really get more close than that. Fill in the blank - I wish I knew how to _______.
Sing what is your favorite restaurant in Durham?
I guess I'd have to say Nosh. I get their Deluca sandwich on a wrap, which they make special for me because they know I hang out there a lot.
