DURHAM, N.C. – Freshman lefty Trent Swart was named the Ronald McDonald House Charities Duke Student-Athlete of the Week after leading the Blue Devils to a 4-1 win over Boston College last Friday at Commander Shea Field.

Swart threw his first career complete game in his last start of the season and matched his career high with 10 strikeouts. Swart held the Eagles to one run on six hits and issued just one walk on the day.

Swart had a strikeout in seven of nine innings, including a pair of strikeouts in the first, second and seventh frames. He fanned six of the nine batters in the Boston College lineup, including striking out third baseman Spenser Payne three times.

After giving up his only run of the game in the third inning, Swart retired 21 of the final 27 batters, including 14 of the last 16 Eagles that he faced.
