Athletic Facilities, Game Operations and Championships Coaching Staff
Scott Dameron joined the Duke Athletic Department in July of 2013 and serves as an Athletic Facilities, Game Operations and Championships Intern. Dameron's primary responsibilities include serving as the primary game manager for Volleyball, Swimming and Diving, and the secondary game manager for Track and Field in addition to assisting with operations for all Duke Athletics home events.
Dameron came to Duke from the National Sports Center for the Disabled where he spent over six years as the National Programs Supervisor. He was responsible for overseeing sports camps and leagues for approximately 2,500 people per year in Denver, Chicago, Portland (Ore.), San Diego, Houston and Kansas City. In 2005, Dameron also served as an intern with the Charleston Battery USL Professional Soccer Club, responsible for assisting with the game-day operations including stadium set-up, hospitality areas and game entertainment.
The Fredericksburg, Va., native earned his bachelor's degree in sports management from North Carolina State University in 2007 and his master's degree in business administration with a sports management specialization from the University of Colorado – Denver in 2013.
Dameron is married to Amy Dameron, a genetic counselor at Duke Medical Center. The couple currently resides in Durham with their daughter Finley.
