Very athletic and versatile post player ... goes to the offensive boards very strong ... very intense on defense ... can score off the bounce and has a nice pull-up jump shot as well ... can play the four or three positions ... was presented with the Iron Blue Devil Belt by William Stephens, Duke strength and conditioning coach after her hard work during summer and preseason conditioning and workouts.
 
As a Freshman (2013-14): Saw action in all 35 games, while making one start ... averaged 5.7 points and 4.0 rebounds ... blocked 29 shots ... pulled down double-figure rebounds against Kansas (14), Georgia Tech (13), Wake Forest (12) and Central Michigan (10) ... in her first collegiate start against Kansas, tallied 16 points and 10 rebounds (both then career highs) ... in the NCAA Tournament, averaged 11.0 points, 3.3 rebounds, 1.0 blocks and 1.0 steals ... notched a career-high 17 points in the NCAA first round against Winthrop ... hit a team-best 60.3 percent from the field, which also ranked eighth on the Duke single-season record charts ... her 14 rebounds against Kansas ranked tied sixth on the Duke freshman record books.

2012 USA Basketball U17 World Championship Team: Named to the 2012 USA Women’s U17 World Championship team that won the gold medal in Amsterdam, the Netherlands … averaged 6.0 points and 6.1 rebounds in eight games, including a 10-point and seven rebound performance against Canada in the semifinals.

High School/AAU: A 2013 McDonald’s and WBCA All-America selection ... totaled team-high eight rebounds, team-high seven steals, tied for team-best three blocks and scored six points in the WBCA All-America game ... in the McDonald’s All-America game, pulled down eight rebounds, had two points, two blocks and two steals in 15 minutes ... All-East Bay first team in 2012 … led Bishop O’Dowd to the its first state championship … won the sportsmanship award in the North California Finals, after finishing the game with 22 points, 10 rebounds and six blocks … as a junior, led her team to a 30-3 record and a Division III state title, averaging 14.0 points, 10.0 rebounds and 3.0 blocks … as a sophomore, averaged 8.0 points, 7.0 rebounds, 2.7 blocks and 2.0 steals … named All-East Bay Second Team … voted First Team All-HAAL … set a school record with nine blocks against Bishop Gorman … received the West Coast Jamboree sportsmanship award … lettered as a freshman on the varsity squad … plays AAU for Cal Storm-Team Taurasi ... invited to the 2013 USA Basketball U19 World Championship team trials.

Personal: Oderah Obiageli Chidom was born on July 9, 1995 in Hayward, Calif. … daughter of Obiora and Gabriella Chidom … has one brother, Arinze (15) and one sister, Amara (13) … named to the Honor Roll and received the Charles E. Delany Scholarship Award.
