Prior to Duke: Earned five varsity letters in lacrosse at Shaker, starting for team since eighth grade … netted 70 goals and 39 assists for 109 points as a senior, earning U.S. Lacrosse All-America honors … first team Times Union all-star … first team Troy Record all-star … participated in 2008 Under Armour All-America Classic at Towson University after helping squad to a 16-3 record … All-America as a junior, totaling 49 goals and 22 assists … voted school’s best all-around athlete in 2008 after lettering four years in soccer and was a standout ice hockey player … team MVP and Section II Offensive Player of the Year in lacrosse last season … member of the National Honor Society and student government … first runner-up out of 139 student-athletes for the Sports Foundation of the Capital Region 2008 Scholar-Athlete of the Year award.
Personal: Katherine McCook Thomas … daughter of Rob and Katherine Thomas … has one brother (Robbie) and two sisters, (Meggie and Sara) … brother played lacrosse for Hampden-Sydney College … father was a member of the swimming and diving team at Lehigh University ... earning a double major in International Comparative Studies and Russian with a certificate in Markets and Management Studies.
